Join the historic first European Deaf Youth Games, taking place from August 17 to 23, 2026, in Hannover, Germany.

Hosted by the German Deaf Sports Federation (DGSV / Deutsche Gehörlosen Sportjugend) in collaboration with the European Deaf Sports Organisation (EDSO), this multi-sport event welcomes young deaf athletes from across Europe to celebrate talent, inclusion, friendship, and the power of sport in a vibrant, multicultural setting.

Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony and a major metropolis famous for its international trade fairs like Hannover Messe, offers excellent modern sports facilities and a welcoming environment for this pioneering youth competition.

Sports competitions include:

  • Athletics (various age groups and events: sprints, middle-distance, long jump, javelin, etc.)
  • Badminton
  • Basketball 3×3
  • Beach Volleyball
  • Futsal
  • Orienteering (sprint, middle distance, mass start, maze/labyrinth, sprint relay)
  • Swimming (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, relays, medley)
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis

Eligibility: Primarily athletes born 2008–2012 (with extensions in some sports, e.g., swimming up to 2014, athletics/orienteering up to 2013).
