Join the 2nd European Deaf Padel Championships, hosted by the Belgian Deaf Sport Committee (BDC) in collaboration with the European Deaf Sports Organisation (EDSO). Following the successful inaugural event in Malaga, Spain (November 2024), this growing competition highlights the booming popularity of padel among deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes across Europe.
The championships will take place from May 11 to 16, 2026, in Diegem, Belgium—conveniently located just minutes from Brussels Airport (BRU) for easy access.
Key highlights:
- Venue: Modern GARRINCHA® padel center in Diegem with 7 indoor courts (11m ceiling height), live streaming, sports bar, and south-facing terrace.
- Participating countries: 7 nations confirmed—Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, and Sweden (nearly double the first edition!).
- Teams: Each nation fields 6–8 players (including up to 2 substitutes) for men’s and/or women’s categories.
- Program: Arrivals and training by May 11 morning, opening ceremony, matches from May 12, finals and closing ceremony/banquet on May 16.
- Accommodation: Official hotels—NH Brussels Airport and Holiday Inn Express Brussels Airport—offer convenient proximity (short walk to venue) with full-board packages including airport transfers, meals, and event access.
